Expedition BC or XPEDbc is a small group of like-minded adventurers who like to explore the wilds of British Columbia and beyond. While I hesitate to label our group as purely an Overland or Off road group, our adventures are primarily 4×4 vehicle based. Whether it’s a quick two day trip, or multi week overland adventure involving several trucks and a target destination, we have a resolute ambition to seek out the back roads, pursue the wild places, and be inspired by God’s creation.
Some of us have been exploring forgotten back roads and routes for years, and others are relatively new to the whole Overlanding concept. The idea of forming into a group to organize trips and build our vehicles came about when we realized we had the same desire and wanted to share our explorations with others. On XpedBC you’ll see our trip reports, featured rides, and other interesting articles/links related to our pursuits. The real fun, however, is actually heading out into the unknown and doing what we love. We will often throw out open invites for trail runs and planned trips – maybe we’ll see you on the road soon. The guy behind the scene: As a child, “JC” grew up hiking, biking, camping and exploring various parts of British Columbia. Today, JC continues to seek out the wild spaces of BC, and usually with his young family or friends in tow. He can often be found driving down long-forgotten paths through the back woods, usually behind the wheel of his equipped Toyota Sequoia (dubbed the Endurance), in some far-flung corner of the province.
